SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Successfully completed and excelled in the following badges in the Skill Development System:

Apprentice Finisher
Skilled Stainer
Skilled Sprayer
Skilled Glazer In the process of completing the Skilled Specialty Finish badge. Alternatively, significant previous experience in 32-mm/European style cabinetry, but still needs to complete the same badges to become familiar with HWC’s expectations, system, and culture. Capable of becoming a Lead Finisher.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION:

The primary objective of the Finisher 1 position is to produce high-quality, defect-free items of standard finish types (paint, stain, and glazed) through the Spray Booth with little to no supervision. The Finisher 1 will lead the finishing process of jobs through completion and will also train and lead other less skilled team members in their development.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY – Performance Measurement Indicators:

Safety: Wear appropriate personal safety gear and handle flammable materials with extreme caution.
Keep the work area’s floors free of obstructions and debris.

Cleanliness of Department: Take initiative to implement 3S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine) without needing to be asked.

Machine and Tooling Use: Safely and effectively use the required machinery and tooling.

Finishing Skills: Produce stained, painted, and glazed items of extremely high quality and consistency with little to no supervision.

Paint and Stain Management: Maintain exceptional control over the orderliness of stored “leftover” paint/stain amounts.
Keep the paint storage container well-labeled using strong visual controls.

Problem-Solving: Actively seek out potential problems and address them proactively.

Team Development: Exhibit a growing ability to lead lesser skilled team members in obtaining the required badges for Finisher 1.

Tooling: Possess the Basic Pouch and Starter Toolbox.
