HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network find a Data Analyst to join its team that empowers partners with privacy-preserving data that strengthens communities and advances social issues.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a good writer, and an excellent project manager that is able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking. The ideal candidate should also have experience with data analysis, be passionate about the services the company provides and its audience.
As a Data Analyst, you’ll:
- Help the Data for Good Program support its Maps for Good vertical, including responding to partner data requests, fielding inbound requests to access program datasets and offering first-line triage of tech support questions from external partners.
- Support the distribution and sharing of Data for Good publicly available tools, including its high resolution population density maps.
- Build out collateral to support the expansion of Data for Good responsibilities to additional teams including partnerships teams and local policy counterparts.
- Support meaningful relationships with non-profit and university counterparts to deliver valuable insights to communities in need during times of crisis.
- Collaborate internally with the Data for Good Policy Team, Core Data Science and other internal teams to maximize social impact.

Requirements
- Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Understanding of reporting and statistical analysis
- Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis
- Bachelors degree in technical or applied sciences field
- Experience with mapping products such as qGIS and others
- Experience manipulating large data sets with SQL, R, Python and other similar tool
Commitment:This is a full-time, 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt. This position will be fully remote and available to candidates who are local to the Washington, D.C.; Boston, MA; Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA and Philadelphia, PA areas.
