Duties include meeting them at the bus stop; helping with homework; preparing light meals and snacks; driving them to local activities; and providing other creative and fun activities. The kids have after school activities so there’s lots of driving involved (in our minivan).
This position requires a flexible schedule in the afternoons. We send out a weekly schedule so everyone has an idea of what to expect for the week. Probably 10-15 hours/week.
Qualifications (please read carefully):
– reliable
– available/flexible in the afternoons/evenings
– enjoy engaging with kids!
– clean driving record and license.
– Must have own car to get to and from work. On days you drive with the kids, you would drive our car.
– experience and/or education in child care, teaching, babysitting or counseling is a plus.
Compensation: $20/hour. We also pay for workers comp and unemployment insurance.
