Dallas Beardsley Insurance, licensed since 1993, is working with the Insurance Center to help seniors obtain additional income by converting their life policies into settlements.

Life settlements allow a life policy holder, in most cases 65 years or older, to obtain cash for unwanted or unaffordable policies. At some point many seniors find that they need cash for living expenses instead of their existing policies. It is the obligation of a licensed professional to discuss the potential benefits of life settlements with clients because 90% of seniors do not know that life policies are legally considered property, just like a home or another piece of private property. There are 500,000 seniors a year who will lapse their life insurance policies because they did not know they had this option, a loss of about $900 billion in benefits to the policy holders annually.

We are seeing an increase in this area of our business. The commission for settlement specialists is $5,000 and up. The largest commission we have seen was a triple play, 3 sales with one client; a term conversion, life settlement, and annuity, for a total commission to the settlement specialist of $657.940. Yes, this was an exceptional case, however, it happened. Commissions can be very large. Life settlements annual volume nationally is due to hit $13 billion a year.

We pay our lead generators $2,500 for every settlement they refer to us. When a client decides on more than one settlement, including all referral business from the client, we pay the lead generator an additional $2,500 bonus for each additional policy. If the commission is in excess of 100K, we pay the lead generator 30% of whatever the commission is. We have been using lead generators for insurance and financial services since 1993 and we are very aware of their value.

We are able to provide free lists of the names and number of every individual 65 and over in the country to our lead generators, although we usually focus on a few cities at a time. There are 54 million people 65 and older in the U.S. according to the U.S. census bureau and we have access to these lists whenever we want them. We never run out of lists.

Our lead generators are the most important part of our marketing department which includes mailout leads, internet leads, dialers, and referrals, however, we use different types of marketing tools depending on the product we are working with. We provide a simple script and knowledge of settlements is not required. We provide an abundant amount of marketing tools whenever needed and our back office is extremely efficient where we take care of the questions and needs of the lead generators all day long. Some lead generators also work with their warm market, social media, networks of seniors, etc. This, of course, is optional.

You have the freedom to work when you want, and as much or as little as you want, without bosses or quotas. We are only looking for lead generators at this time, however, a number of lead generators have evolved into settlement specialists. This, of course, is optional.
