Security Officer (Orange Park)

Now hiring Security Personnel at Park Avenue Billiards! Join our fast paced and fun loving team as we continue to grow as the largest pool hall in NE Florida!Job Duties:
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Contact management or call police or fire department in case of fire or illegal activity
• Warn violators of FL liquor infractions, such as drinking in the parking lot. Any inappropriate activity, rules and regulations of the property, etc.
• Monitor entrances and exits
• Investigate and brief management on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide assistance to customers, employees in a courteous and professional manner
• Escort violators off property
• Other duties as assigned by management staff
• Providing protection for the facility security interests and property from theft, fires, sabotage, vandalism, illegal entry, and other acts that may adversely impact the company
• Monitor the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions

Job Requirements:
• Effective oral communication skills and ability to de-escalate potential tense situations
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Must be able to work flexible schedules

Shift:
Part-Time, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, some “on-call” and during Special Events, 9:00pm – 3:00am

Qualifications:
• Previous military, police, or security guard experience is preferred but not required
• Must have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
• Have the ability to speak, read and write the English language
• Be at least 21 years of age
• You must have reliable transportation
• You must be able to physically stand, walk or patrol the assigned areas for the majority of your shift
• Must submit to a criminal history check
