This is a remote position that some days may require on-site travel to client site or data center.
We are a national provider of Information Technology and security solutions with over a two decades of service. We are seeking the right candidate to expand our Northern Virginia based team. This individual will be a US citizen with a comfortable remote work environment, reliable transportation, and the ability to work both independently and as a productive team member. An organized individual with a positive attitude and a tenacious desire to learn will be welcomed and excel.
Technical Support Engineer responsibilities include:
Serve as the central point of contact for IT-related help desk issues
Respond to calls, tickets and emails to troubleshoot reported issues
Provide on and off-site support to customers
Troubleshooting may include resolving hardware, network, security, and software issues
Maintain technical documentation for customers
Proactively identify and communicate opportunities to improve processes
Refer difficult cases to a senior engineer
Technical Support Engineer skills include:
Minimum 2 years experience in Information Technology or technical support
Extensive familiarity with Windows operating systems
Working knowledge of security software options and functionality preferred!
Technical certifications preferred!
