Godfather of AI: I Tried to Warn Them, But We’ve Already Lost Control! Geoffrey Hinton Video Review

Geoffrey Hinton, often referred to as the “Godfather of AI,” has expressed deep concerns about the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and the potential dangers they pose to society. In a recent podcast episode, he discussed the risks of AI surpassing human capabilities, including job displacement, increased wealth inequality, and the potential for AI to be misused in areas such as cyber-attacks, biological weapons, and election manipulation. Hinton also highlighted the existential threat of superintelligent AI, comparing humanity’s potential fate to that of a chicken, emphasizing our vulnerability to more intelligent beings.
