Catherine Austin Fitts, a former Assistant Secretary of Housing under President George H.W. Bush and publisher of The Solari Report, the conflict involving Iran is not primarily about nuclear weapons or regional stability. Instead, she argues that Iran represents the most critical “leakage point” in a global system moving toward a Digital Control Grid.
Because Iran maintains a sovereign central bank and is a key energy partner within the BRICS alliance (particularly with China), it resists the implementation of a globally interoperable, programmable financial system. The Role of AI and Data Centers

Artificial Intelligence serves as the engine of this grid, specifically because it excels at processing mathematical expressions of spatial control and financial transactions. Fitts explains that massive data centers are being constructed not merely for general AI development, but specifically to manage the explosive amount of data required to apply a “social credit system” to money.

This infrastructure enables enforcement mechanisms such as:

Spatial Restrictions: Preventing money from working outside a specific zone (e.g., a “15-minute city”) or disabling vehicles remotely if they leave authorized areas.
Targeted Elimination: Fitts cites the assassination of 11 out of 12 top Iranian scientific and government leaders during the June 2025 conflict as evidence of this grid in action. She argues these targets were identified and eliminated through digital tracking and autonomous weaponry rather than traditional human intelligence alone.
